Mike planning the route.

The river looks pretty clear on the map above. You can even see the highlighted route Mike has drawn. Wow, it looks long. The map below, kindly given to us by David Hill, is a cycle tourist map of the Loire valley, the yellow highlighted area along the river is a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Valley of Kings, where the royals of France (and England) lived from the Middle ages until the Renaissance - so there are a lot of castles to visit!!
